No, the wedding date is not a typo. Didn't you know that Tuesday is the new Saturday in wedding planning? ;) If that doesn't impress you, these two planned everything in two weeks! The strategy is brilliant actually, and I don't think the couple would have had it any other way. When AJ proposed and Sonja said "yes!," they were ready to be roommates and start their lives together. One of their first calls came to our studio and it went something like, "Does Andrew have next Saturday available?....No?....OK how bout say, a Tuesday? Perfect."
What fun we had! The church they selected was an old tar-sealed Norwegian church on the campus of Luther Seminary and had a long line of family ties. Due to the fact that very few people could fit into the church to witness their sacred vows, photographic art from the day became a top priority. Following the intimate ceremony, Sonja's one request was a picture of them on their scooter as a couple, an awesome idea! A delicious dinner at the local steak house topped off the day and away they went on their honeymoon. What an adventure-filled life they will share together in the years to come.
