The sky opened up for the sun to shine down on Kacie and Tommy on their special day at the Wilds Golf Club. The couple are from the magic country of Big Sky Montana and boatloads of their friends piled into vans, cars, trucks, anything, to find their way to this party. As the sun went down I was reminded of my time spent out west in Montana and I hope to return.
This is a day filled with all-stars. Starting with the couple, Alexis and Jake who were bursting at the seams with love and affection. Katherine at the Semple Mansion, along with Joan Nilsen of Ambiente had the mansion sparkling like Cinderella’s Grand Ballroom. Every detail was taken care of including a cake from Gateaux that matched the stunning dress from Monique Lhuillier. I’ve never seen flowers impact a room like the ones Alexis and Jake chose from Pazabella. Breathtaking. The day’s adventure consisted of limo stops along The Lakes and capped off by a scoop of Sebastian Joe’s Ice Cream. During the ceremony not a dry eye could be seen between bursts of laughter offset by tender moments to remember their little girl. Tulips encased the ceremony platform that had grown from the bulbs given out at the funeral months prior. Love and grace poured out from this day and I was blessed to be part of their journey.

I flew out from Costa Rica after visiting the most active volcano in the world to meet up with the team of 15 others from the states. We loaded up the bus and worked our way across the country of Guatemala. The buses are the pride and joy of the driver and as you can see it has a ton of personality, much like this incredible place. Coming from Costa Rica, I was expecting the same kind of akward looks and stares, instead these people just burst with joy. I flash a smile and the camera and they respond. Enjoy a peek of the first 24 hours of our trek to our worksites along Lake Atitlan....much more to come! Andrew
It's very rare in life when you meet a couple that offers a new perspective on the way the world should be. I got the call from Joan Nilsen of Ambiente, their all-star wedding planner, and upon picking up the phone Joan proceeded to gush about this couples' heart and passion for about twenty minutes. Sarah and Victor had dreamed up a day that allowed family to celebrate their love but more so to empower their guests to be a part of a greater love, the love of God. They asked all guests to contribute a hotdish to their church potluck reception, not to save costs, but rather take the money they would normally spend on a caterer to feeding the hungry locally as well as internationally through Feed My Starving Children. By the end of this wedding, thousands of dollars had been donated, 29,400 children fed and many hearts and lives impacted, including my own. Thank you for giving me new eyes.
There's nothing like a romantic rainy day for a wedding! Heather was a glow all day long and I'm guessing Casey had something to do with it! The red accent in the middle of the white wedding dress was an impressive touch and the enchanting architecture of Northwestern College was a perfect backdrop for this vibrant couple.
I've been really really excited about this day for almost two years! It all started when I got a phone call from Brian telling me he's engaged and their first call was to me to find out what dates in May I had available to join them. What an honor it was to capture these sweet moments. Their friends have become my friends and needless to say, everybody kicked up their boots and had a blast!
