For Memorial Day weekend some people head to their cabins, others enjoy the spring air around the state, however Jenny and Ryan decided to throw a fabulous party and commit their lives to each other.  Count me in!  We had a lot of fun leading up to the date, so when the day came I just knew the images would be extra special.  Nazareth Chapel looked absolutely stunning and I just had to show Jenny to a secret back balcony so she could see for herself.  After enthusiastic "I Do's!" came the party at Earl Brown.  Midway through the night, the dad's grabbed me and took me out back to show off their buried treasure.  They told me about a superstition that if you burry a bottle of Jack Daniels upside down at your reception site, you will be granted with good weather.  It obviously worked!  Your families are such a blessing and my heart is so full for you two!  Cherish this new journey.

I had the unique opportunity to be invited into the lives of Lauren & Dan at The Ohio State University.  We had so much fun shooting and exploring campus, finishing with a lively Italian dinner that was like dining with old friends.  I left just giddy about being apart of their wedding day ahead.  I led Dan atop a grassy hilltop to await to lay eyes on his bride.  Some giggles, tears and prays between the couple and off they went to get ready to welcome the family.  Carlson Towers was a classy backdrop for this joyous occasion; with both the ceremony and reception hosted in the Rotunda.  Amy Rubbins of Fete Perfection had the ballroom looking its absolute best as guests raved about the tasteful touches.  Following a very spirit-filled ceremony, the party rolled into late into the evening.  It is a joy to call you and your family new friends and I look forward to being apart of your journey ahead.

It is always a joy to photograph at the church that I was raised in, and to get to capture the day for such an endearing couple who share a faith meant even more.  There was such a peace present, and both Allison and David really got to enjoy every single moment as their parents had put in such care and love into the planning.  What a team and what a blessing!  These two share a passion for the outdoors and especially Ultimate Frisbee so I suggested bringing along their cleats and some discs to toss around on this bluebird day.  Calhoun Beach Club was stunning, even the event coordinator had to take photographs of the setup and style.  What a wonderful compliment in life you will be for each other; thank you for the love you and your family have shown me.

Some say there is something about a man in uniform; Lindsay would definitely agree!  Most branches of the US armed forces were well represented this day in May as the guys shared a heart for service and loyalty.  The ladies started the day pumping music into the dressing room to calm the nerves and making me crack up.  What a fun group of friends they assembled!  After a romantic ceremony, the party moved on to the Golden Valley Country Club which played a special role in their story and they were so glad to be back.  The light hit the old oak trees so perfectly as we got to take a stroll down the fairway before DJ Rick of Flow kept the music going well into the night.  Thank you both for your genuine hearts you display to everyone around you.

Ashley called just giddy excited over this incredible man she gets to marry.  We met and shared stories for quite a while; I left feeling totally inspired.  The day couldn't come soon enough!  Como Conservatory and their impressive Sunken Gardens made for a fragrant location to say "I do."  His family flew in from Greece and got to spend some quality time around Minnesota and the new family.  After the ceremony we ventured around St. Paul to find some great architecture to compliment their modern style.  We laughed hard as we headed back to the St. Paul Grill for an incredible array of food and wine.  At the end of the night, we were all one big fun Greek family with just the right amount of sensible Scandinavian tossed in.  You both are incredibly loving and gracious!

Their day started out as I entered the bridal room to find Laura literally bouncing up and down clapping with joy!  For their first meeting, she chose to read to Jimmy from her journal some excerpts from their dating life.  The day was too perfect to pass up and we loaded up the vehicles to places I felt reflect their friendships.  Our last stop was to the local hockey rink where we had snuck Laura's skates along to get a taste of one of their favorite pastimes.  From a touching ceremony at Wayzata Community Church, the party continued at the Carlson Towers Rotunda.  The Crazy Cam booth was a hit all night, even capturing some of Jimmy's High School guys crashing the dance!  No one wanted this night to end.
