Molly and Ross Engagement

Molly and Ross were planning a summer wedding so when I suggested having their engagement session in a different season they perked up right away. They decided to plan the most quintessential Minnesotan winter session and I’m completely head over heels for how it turned out! We started their session off at a gorgeous nearby park and recreation center where they were stylishly dressed for the season and even their dog got the attire memo and wore a cute holiday bandana. We walked the trails with our boots crunching in the snow for a while before turning our attention to the ice rink in the distance. Of course Molly and Ross came prepared, so while they laced up their skates, I took my place on the ice hoping my shoes had good enough grip. They playfully skated around one another laughing the entire time while the lights started to come on across the park as the sun sank below the horizon. They enjoyed the rink for a while longer before they took off their skates and Ross pulled out a thermos of warm hot chocolate complete with mugs, whipped cream, and sprinkles. This man is a chef so I suppose I should have expected this, but it still caught me off guard in the best possible way. To close out the evening, they settled in next to a roaring fire and Ross pulled out a bottle of wine and a couple glasses (because of course he did!) Molly laughed along as she sat on his lap and they watched the stars come out as they stayed warm by the fire.
